Sunne is a town with a populatioh of around 5000 people in Sunne Municipality, Värmland County. The area is probalby most well known for author and Nobel Literature prize winner, Selma Lagerlöf's home, Mårbacka. Also the prominent Swedish author Göran Tunström was born and raised in Sunne.

Archaeological finds reveal that people lived here already 3000 BC, but a town was formed first in the 17th century. Synne is a popular centre for winter sports.
