OCTO OCTA [Honey Soundsystem / Running Back / Argot]
Brooklyn based Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison) has already gained several impressive achievements on her DJ and music production résumé. Since her celebrated debut EP Let Me See You from 2011, she has had several amazing releases and earned a Red Bull Music Academy residency in Manhattan, which found the producer working closely with Harald Bjork and Throwing Snow, as well as tours across the world that included coveted gigs at Berlin's Panorama Bar, Frankfurt's Live At Robert Johnson, and Barcelona's Sonar Festival. As one of dance music’s most enchanting producers, we couldn't be more excited for her playing at Raider Room!
KIERNAN LAVEAUX [In Training]
is a transfeminine conduit from Cleveland, Ohio USA. Originating as one of the driving forces behind In Training, a queer event series founded in Cleveland in 2014, she has made a name for herself through her DJ sets and bookings that characterize and reflect the rustbelt environment she was birthed from. Inspired by her peers, the experimentalism and joy found within midwestern electronic music, and a fateful night that gifted her the name Kiernan Laveaux, she began DJing in 2015 and has since embarked on a lifelong journey of exploring rhythms and reveling in the motherbeat. She now exists solely to channel warmth and understanding to dancers of open mind and spirit everywhere.
This event is a queer and sex positive safe space. We do not tolerate any kind of discrimination or harassment at our door or on our dance floor.
Raider Room is a queer music collective based in Stockholm, Sweden. We organize club nights, workshops and concerts with the goal to create a queer space and community with a focus on house, techno and electronic music.
With a shared passion for music, and the sense of importance of shaping the room around us and for us, Raider room is based on the belief that non-commercial queer spaces are vital for cultural exploration, experimentation and a developing music scene.
If you identify as queer, lesbian or somewhere under the HBTQIA+ umbrella, Raider Room is your space! If you don’t, we ask you to refrain from participating.
